Harry Potter always figured that once he'd fulfilled his destiny he could finally have a happy, normal life. Unfortunately for him he fell in love with his best friend...and everything went straight to hell. Set 7 years after the final battle. Lily is in for a BIG surprise when she gets home for the summer before sixth year. They used to be best friends and now he is her fiance! Lily turns to the only people who can help her... the Marauders! Mild language

ADDED BY FIC ADMINS on Jun 6 2008: **WARNING** contains character deaths. ADDED BY FIC ADMINS JUN 19: This story can stay in Portkey per fic admins' ruling here: http://talk.portkey.org/index.php?s=&showtopic=21017&view=findpost&p=396129 ----------------- ORIG FIC SUMMARY BY AUTHOR:There are two things to know about Harry Potter. One: He kicks ass. Two: No one cares. Why? Because Daniel Potter is the Boy Who Lived. Book 6 compliant. Takes place in year 7.
My take on sixth year. Glacially slow, so if you like fast-paced fics this isn't for you. No Mary-Sues or exchange students or long-lost twin sisters...
The unwritten stories Lily tells James in "Gryffindor Colors." Not necessary to read GC to understand.
Sirius glanced at him. "I wouldn't mess with her, Prongs. She's one messed up chick." James shook his head. Just what did Sirius mean? He was James Potter. He didn't have to watch anything. He could mess with anything he bloody wanted.
From School to Summer, it seems like the fates are trying to keep James and Lily apart... she's got a secret that she won't be able to hide much longer, and if James doesn't hurry, she just may not survive...
He lives with a selfish wannabe celeb, practically raising his children alone. She lives a life of misery, only ever receiving comfort from her children. They were both separated by work and their familial problems, but now the summer has ended. Neither loved or truly wanted by their spouses, they are forced to seek comfort in each others arms. Carry on from the epilogue.
At long last, you guys! The SEQUEL to "To be or not to be a Weasley." With Draco gone for the summer, Ginny has to make it without knowing where his is or if he's been tracked down by Lucius yet. And what happens when their bond is tested in the harshest way possible--The choice between family or love?
She slowed to a walk as she approached Madam Pince’s sanctity of knowledge, and attempted to rub her tears away, but without the desired effect. Her inability to understand how she was at fault with the redhead, still placed a heavy burden on her chest, and she could do nothing but dwell on it. Even the allure of Arithmacy, Charms and Transfiguration had failed to entice her to escape from her troubles.
Harry now knows that is kill or be killed. Is he ready for it, or will he be ready for it?
It’s been fifteen years since Draco went into hiding after being declared a traitor to both sides. After receiving the news about his father’s death, Draco is finally ready to return to England. When he gets there, he discovers the life he was returning to is not at all what he expected. Will Draco adapt to fit into the life that has over taken Malfoy Manor, or will he return back to the life that he became accustom to while in hiding? Quote:~~~ Still panting heavily, Draco planted his hands firmly on each side of the sink and glanced through his blonde locks into the mirror as a small stream of tears trickled down his pale cheeks “What have I done?”~~~~
Follows DH (not that it will matter much for the story) apart for the epilogue. Harry and Hermione are married with three kids, but they fall into hard times and are forced to leave their house. Who will help them, and will he/she have his/her own agenda? Warning: some gore inside.
Instead of joy, elation, mourning, or anything else like that, Harry felt...nothing. (Post-DH without Epilogue, Strong Harry/Hermione friendship)
AU! 1815 - Hermione's life was never normal, she was either moving around the country or strange things were happening at random for no apparent reason. Then she meets Harry, and things become clear.
Ginny is left lonely from the war and there are only two things that cheer her up. A surprise that was left behind, and an unlikely comfort. This story has been updated with a beta so it is basically the same if you have read it, but different haha. Special thanks to Roonil Wazlib for putting up with me and betaing.
Normally Hermione was always there to pester him and Ron about their behavior, inquire nosily about their days, and drive them up the wall in general. But now that she'd stopped nagging, he didn't feel relieved in the least. Post-DH, but minus the epilogue. Harry/Hermione develops slowly, be patient.
Harry Potter is completely oblivious and Hermione Granger is sick of hiding her love for him. So adorning a sinfully seductive dress she decides to do something about it. (NEW CHAPTER UPDATE. And if you're REALLY interested, an author's note in my profile. Thanks for reading!)
Not Epilogue friendly. I have never been one to submit myself to journalism. I don’t do interviews. I don’t particularly read The Daily Prophet, but I do read. I blame that on my wife of 25 years. It’s also because of her that you’re reading this today. I, Harry James Potter, am writing this column myself. Forgive me if this doesn’t seem worldly enough for you, or if I don’t sound as eloquent at you expect me to be. That’s my wife’s job. Your job is to simply read.
Harry James Potter lives his not-so-normal life at the Dursleys, and survives with the letters that are sent to him every year. And finally, he gets to leave the Dursleys in his Guardian Angel's arms, never to return.
There had to be more than shattered glass left in her life. More than the pretense of painted smiles--more than watching her family fall to peices. Take a walk through Rose's shoes as she finds out the meaning of true love, and watches her mother experience it for the first time in her life.
“I thought,” he went on, his face reddening with anger, “that you would honour me, respect me and cherish me as a wife should do for a husband! And not go around, sinking to the level of a prostitute! Have you no shame!” “Have you no human decency!” I countered heatedly, as another ball of anger flared up inside me.
Hermione helps Harry to adjust after he is turned into a vampire. But as they hunt the Horcruxes and dodge both the Ministry and the Death Eaters, can Harry defeat Voldemort when he is slowly losing his own humanity? Vamp!Harry, H/Hr.
REALLY SORRY ABOUT THE DELAY IN CHAPTER 3, GUYS! I've been very busy with work and I've also run into a few issues with the plot I had worked out. Gotta iron out the kinks and it'll be up asap! *Response to Harry85's 'Death Eater Hermione' challenge* After capturing a beautiful Dark Witch during one of his missions, Harry becomes concerned when his battling emotions force him to consider that age-old question: Should he do what he feels is easy, or what is right? The problem is, he isn't quite sure how to differentiate between the two, not when confronted with Hermione Granger, a mystery Death Eater who seems reluctant to fight him, yet also reluctant to turn her back on what she was taught to be right.
A person can only hold on for so long, that at some point, you have to choose whether to stay that way or to let go.
Both Harry and Voldemort fell and Death Eaters reigned supreme. Draco Malfoy is set to marry Daphne Greengrass, both of whom shall eventually govern the Wizarding World but when Ginevra Weasley is enslaved and forced to work for Daphne unlike relationships are forged and the redhead somehow manages to change the fate of all around her.
FINALLY! CHAPTER 6 IS UP! AU. Hermione was tired of being dumped by guys who want more from her than just the simple relationship she could give. But a night of drunken madness does not excuse the fact that she had done something incredibly stupid, like ask her friends to dare her into talking to the most enigmatic man she had ever laid eyes on. Could she bear to face the consequences, when a perfectly simple game of flirting turns out to be more than what she bargained for?
After ten years Harry Potter returns to the home he left behind, and the friends he abandoned in a fit of over-rationlization. His mission: get a second chance at once-in-a-lifetime love
Neither one had meant for it to happen. All of the sudden, Peeves was standing above the pair with mistletoe. It all happened so fast after that. She felt a jolt as her lips touched his, and then as quickly as the mistletoe appeared, it vanished.
Summary: It is the evening of Voldemort’s demise and Harry discovers that he didn’t escape their final confrontation unscathed. He appears to have inherited some of Voldemort’s powers, and Hermione is the only one around who can help him. Two thirds of the trio must rely on each other again, but this time, it will push them closer than ever. Features: Hogwarts, flying, school dances, Dumbledore, Snape, funerals, Death Eaters, Legilimency, The Elder Wand, angsty Ginny, angry Ron, powerful Harry and Hermione just being her incredible self. Sticks closely to canon and set directly after the final chapter of DH, conveniently ignoring epilogue. (epilogue…what epilogue?)
Summary: When James Potter asks his Aunt Hermione for homework help he finds more than just 20 year old notes in the margins of her old school books. The secrets he discovers could unravel the tapestry of his whole family. H/Hr eventually (at least from my point of view). Ending may not please everyone, its only fair you know in advance.
It was when, not entirely without pain, Harry realized the difference between passion and love; and, no matter when or how; all passions always went to an end. It's Post-Epilogue. So, if you don't like post epilogue fics, just don't read it. FICLET.
And he realized she was right and that he felt in the same way. His heart was hers. H/Hr. Sexual Intimacy. Post Epilogue. Smut! Not an affair!Fic. One-Shot. If you don't like Post Epilogue stories don't read it!
When Ginny Weasley took a job advertised in the daily prophet as a nanny, she never expected it to be to Draco Malfoy's eight year old son...

"His mind told him to turn around and leave the room, to give her that respect, not ogle her in her vulnerable state. He was loathe to obey his head, hesitant to leave her by herself. He’d come to find her. He was worried about her. His worry superceded his knowing that he should leave; action justified."
"Everything I've ever told you has been a lie! I never meant any of it! Sometimes I wonder why I wanted you so bad." Lily looked at him. "Please, don't do this. When you put this ring on my finger, you promised you wouldn't leave me."
Sirius loved Lily. James loved Lily. Lily didn't know who she loved.
A broken heart can sometimes be the most dangerous enemy of all, as Hermione and Ginny find out after being targeted in a malicious attack. How will Hermione cope with these new changes, and these new emotions, especially when her feelings towards Harry are so barely reigned in as it is? Takes place over seven days in the Trio's seventh year.
It had been a battlefield recently, and it showed. A moment in the library, post-DH.
