As Voldemort makes progress against the ministry, Dumbledore must call in his last favors. The Trio enter their last year at Hogwarts, unsure of their present or their futures, and most especially their feelings. (Ignores HBP and DH--started before their publication)
Voldemort is gone - thanks to the famous Trio's final efforts to vanquish him. Harry and Hermione are finally given the time to learn about their feelings for each other, while Ron dabs into his own romantic mind and comes to the realization that Loony Lovegood is quite a fanciable witch.

I began this story in Nov 2004, and spent six months developing a plot. This is my own personal version of book six. The plot was in no way influenced by the real HBP, and I hope you enjoy. :) This is book 6 how I think it should have been. Please understand, this is not simply a book 6 rewrite, this is my own complete, original version of sixth year, and so the original HBP and my version are completely incompatable.

My answer to the Hotel of Horror challenge from Ancient Werewolf. In the wake of Sirius' death, Harry finds solace in two things: Hermione and his friends. With Voldemort's war begun, Harry fights to save his friends from an insane professor, and Hermione from his own darkness. Chapters 1 and 2 are tame in comparison to what I'm going to do in Chapter 3.
