During one of my recent perusals of the site I read a couple of fics from the Truth About Rose Weasley challenge and this one-shot jumped into my head and wouldn’t leave me alone until I’d given it its due.

But now that she'd stopped nagging, he didn't feel relieved in the least. Post-DH, but minus the epilogue. Harry/Hermione develops slowly, be patient.
It's Remus and Tonks' wedding and Hermione has to face her fears - getting closer to Harry. But, of course, things turn out for the better and during a conversation on the dance floor, the future begins...
Love would always find a way.
What would happen if Harry Potter wasn't born as a boy, but instead a girl? And would what we know of the first book change if it was Severus Snape that came to fetch the cute little girl instead of Hagrid? Definitively! Especially if even the snarky Slytherin can't help but find Arielle Potter cute.

Harry finds Hermione in the attic. "Your favorite color is green, but I don't really know why. You just like to use green bookmarks, and I noticed that you wear green in the summer...of course, you can't wear it at Hogwarts because muggle clothes are not aloud," rambled Harry matter-of-factly. He didn't seem to notice Hermione's shock. "And your favorite book is Hogwarts, A History, though that might be obvious from the numerous times you quoted from it," Harry finished in one breath. His face registered shock for a second. It seemed that even he was surprised at how much he paid attention to Hermione.
Summary: When James Potter asks his Aunt Hermione for homework help he finds more than just 20 year old notes in the margins of her old school books. The secrets he discovers could unravel the tapestry of his whole family. H/Hr eventually (at least from my point of view). Ending may not please everyone, its only fair you know in advance.
Hermione still looked murderous. Exasperated, I grabbed her by the hand, and dragged her by the hand up the stairs, back to our dormitory. I didn’t speak a word to her, until the door was closed behind me, and I charmed the chamber for complete privacy.

Out of everyone, James Potter was probably the most shocked of all to find out that he was made Head Boy. Lily Evans wasn’t as surprised about being named Head Girl as she was pleased. They had different reactions and different reasons to react how they did, and then they’ll eventually find out who they’ve been paired with.
Sirius loved Lily. James loved Lily. Lily didn't know who she loved.
Hermione Granger has lived a terrible past life. Seven years ago her dad finally got what he deserved and ended up in jail after abusing her and her mother, who is a witch. Then, just as Hermione thinks nothing will ever changer, her mother accepts a job at Hogwarts. Hermione, her seven year old sister, and her mother move to Hogsmeade. Hermione can't attend Hogwarts, but instead does odd jobs around Hogsmeade. It is there that Hermione meets Harry Potter and his best friends that introduce her into the world she's always loved and teach her the things she never got to learn.
Hermione keeps trying to talk to her husband but fate intervenes. Canon through DH, but without Epilogue.
