She was surprised how much tender he was in this move. “You’re the strongest soul of all and the bravest of heart!” His voice was only inches above a whisper. “Not as much as you are.” She said. By this Harry smiled because this was how she always did it. Never she could take a simple compliment as just this. That’s why he loved her even more for it. Hermione wasn’t selfish enough. This is a single chapter from a longer fic. A friend suggested it might do well as a one-shot. Harry has is being trained personally by Dumbledore, who wants Harry to be comfortable enough around him to refer to him by his first name. Harry can't, so a charm is placed on him that will shock him when he can't refer to someone by their first name. This charm is eventually applied to all at Hogwarts during Harry's training and under this spell they attend the will reading for Sirius.

Harry has been invited to stay at the Grangers during the summer holidays. Breakfast soon becomes his favourite time of the day although, during the holidays, Hermione certainly isn’t a morning person. At the end of a particularly enjoyable day, something provokes Harry. In a night-time storm of exploding glass and masonry throughout the neighbourhood, Harry breaks down and makes a confession with consequences for himself and the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad.
Excerpt from Chapter One: He tore off his clothes and threw them in the fire, trying to get every trace of the other woman off of him, and then jumped into the shower, hissing as the water burned his skin. He gritted his teeth and forcefully scrubbed his whole body. He felt so dirty for doing this to her - she didn’t deserve this.
This particular plot bunny was born while I was watching the closet scene in the movie “13 Going on Thirty.” If you’re a shy, inexperienced teenager, what could be more hellish than being trapped in a closet for seven minutes with someone you barely know? Or with someone you know, but don’t like in that way. Or with someone you like in that way but don’t know if they like you. Or . . . well, I think you get the idea!
